Dambulla

Caves where are carved a lot of Buddhas. Today, the stone is fully hidden by paintings or statues. Long time works, the influence of all crosses centuries is perceptible : you can even see hindus statues.

Ettanwella

Out of the standard turism roads, the village is surrounded by rice fields. We were invited having diner in the chief house. After some Arrack drinks, we sang all together all evening long. Great instant while there was no language fences nor cultural fences between us.

The way we took, stay under a nordic conifer forest, with a lot of leeches and with no sights. Not really interesting !
Instead of this way, you can follow the road which offers to cross villages.

Galle

High place of the colonial history, it only stays in the city a fortress (portuguese then dutch) and a church. Today, the fortress is the place of young people in love who hide themselve under umbrellas.
