We went in Croatia in July 2008. We booked a week in Plat (22 km south of Dubrovnik) then an other week close to Sibenik. Arriving in Dubrovnik airport, we rent a car to move around and to Sibenik.

In 2008, you still can see the signs of war : bullet impacts on buildings, desaffected hotels where took place battles ...
But, the main roads and resorts were fixed.

Cavtat : tiny old village south of Dubrovnik wher eyou can have walk and a drink.

Dubrovnik : the old city is flocked by people and very hot during summer : prepare yourself to look for your way among crowd and to be burn by the sun. Of course, except if you get up early, you can't find a car park free. We went first with a boat arriving in the old harbour under the ramparts.

Split : in the center of the industrial and modern city, is hold a jewelry. The former Diocletian's palace gave a protected place to live and where people has been stacking buildings since centuries. The result is amazing : greeck columns share the place with old churches and houses from the middle-age. We really appreciate this exceptional and strange place .
